Sneak Joint
Elevated Endeavors, in San Diego, rehired me after designing their logo to do a menu for their newest bar/restaurant - Sneak Joint. The design style was to be "very mission-beach". It took some research but I nailed it and created a menu they loved.
After the success with the menu they asked me to do several other menus, postcards, table tents, banners and invitations. Click on the image to see these!
Universal Building Products
Universal Building products needed a business to business web site to showcase their products and allow their customers easy access to information. In order to keep this information current, they needed an easy to use admin.

Carquotes.com
Ad Slick
Carquotes.com came to Azavar looking for a web site. They mentioned to sales that they were looking for a new look for their ad slicks. I was brought on to this project to reel them in and show them our creative capabilities. The ad I produced went over well and they contracted us to do their site.

Azavar Web site
Redesign Comp
Azavar's site redesign was to be clean and very usable. I implemented the coverflow into the homepage as a secondary navigation promoting recent projects and technologies I used graphics that capture the eye gustiposed with easy to read content (through layout and typography). The result was a fresh, well structured, easily navigated layout.
Adobe Connect
Email Campaign
Azavar conducts elearning webinars for the sale of the Adobe Connect. Emails are sent out to create interest in the product. The designs focus on how the product can seamlessly integrate into one's life. The one shown to the left has undertones of growth and a "green" way of life it was designed for the summer, when gas prices spiked. The teal (in the lightbox) is promoting no stress for the vacation season.
Logo Design
I feel very fortunate to have learned the methodology to come up with several meaningful ideas for a client. Iowa State University stressed the importance of concept in logos. Aside from concept there is more to a logo then most would recognize such as proportion and design principles. All and all logos are one of my favorite design problems to solve because they are always a challenge.

This email newsletter combines the creative talent of Emily Aleisa (copywriter), Patrick D'Helf (Seo and project implementation), and myself (design). The newsletter is designed to bring light to the ever so changing issues around web and web development. The collaborative effort resulted in sales and knowledgeable clients. It also provided an award from the IAC (Internet Advertising Competition) for the Best Consulting Online Newsletter campaign.
Thanksgiving
Flash eCard
As I am never one to shy away from Illustration, I took on or Azavar Thanksgiving ecard with great enthusiasm. Marketing projects are my favorite things to do between client projects.
The card features a Turkey Balloon floating down the street. Click image to see the Card.
Other Tidbits
In every job there is downtime. When I am not researching the web for the latest greatest techniques, gathering design inspiration or reading articles on usability and other fun things, I often find myself "doodling". Often, my doodles become part of other projects. One shown here was printed out and resides in the conference room at Azavar. Another (the cityscape) is being reproduced at home with oil pastels.
